Crédit Agricole CIB expands sustainable finance policies, appoints Tanguy Claquin Global Head of Sustainability

Crédit Agricole CIB, the corporate and investment banking arm of Crédit Agricole Group recently announced an expansion of its climate-focused financing policies, adding to its list of heavily polluting sector exclusions, and committing to increase its exposure to non-carbon energies. Jacques Ripoll, Crédit Agricole CIB Chief Executive Officer, said: “I am convinced that we all have a personal responsibility in the fight against global warming, for ourselves and future generations.”

Impact investing veteran Clara Barby joins climate solutions fund Just Climate

Climate solutions-focused investment business have announced the appointment of Clara Barby, CEO of the Impact Management Project, as Senior Partner, responsible for leading the firm’s efforts to institutionalize climate-led investing as a capital allocation imperative across the investment management industry. Senior Partner David Blood said: “We are delighted that Clara is joining Just Climate. Impact is at the heart of what we aim to do at Just Climate, from how we identify investment opportunities, to how we measure success. Clara brings significant expertise in understanding the relevance of impact in capital allocation as well as building teams.”

Amundi US appoints Annie Joyce Head of ESG

Amundi US, the US business of asset management giant Amundi, announced recently the appointment of Annie Joyce as Head of ESG. In her new role, Joyce will have responsibility for driving the US business’ ESG strategic direction. “Annie has tremendous experience across a diverse range of organizations and issues related to responsible investing, and her background provides a strong foundation for her to lead our ESG strategy in the US. As a firm that is deeply committed to responsible investing, we continue to invest in resources aimed at strengthening our global leadership in ESG.”

ISS Corporate Solutions names Kosmas Papadopoulos Head of Americas Sustainability Advisory

ISS Corporate Solutions have announced the appointment of Kosmas Papadopoulos as Head of Americas Sustainability Advisory. Papadopoulos will assume responsibility for ICS’ Sustainability Consulting strategy and evolution of services and customer success. Papadopoulos, said: “I am very excited to join ICS’ dynamic Sustainability Advisory team in furtherance of ICS’ mission to deliver best-in-class data, tools, and advisory services. ZTERS hires Sustainability Manager Uzair Iqbal to improve waste operations

Commercial waste service provider ZTERS announced recently the hiring of Uzair Iqbal to lead sustainability initiatives at the company. Iqbal will help develop diversion and recycling programs that help companies meet waste reduction and sustainability goals. “I am looking forward to creating a program where we not only assist our large corporate clients in becoming more sustainable in their operations, but also ZTERS.
