Volt Energy Utility LLC recently announced the hiring of Yinka Bode-George as Senior Manager of Environmental Justice and Community Impact. Bode-George will lead the strategy and management of Volt Energy Utility’s community impact and environmental justice practice. “As an environmental health advocate, Yinka has developed a stellar reputation in advancing environmental justice and sustainable development through public policy and community building,” said Volt CEO Gilbert Campbell. “She will assist our corporate clients in achieving both their clean energy goals and their mission to support programs that focus on environmental health, justice and access to the clean energy economy.”

Global alternative investment manager Apollo announced recently the appointment of Carletta Ooton as Head of ESG for Private Equity. In her new role, Ooton will advance ESG initiatives and integration across Apollo’s entire private equity portfolio. Matt Nord and David Sambur, Co-Heads of Private Equity, said: “ESG continues to be a critical component of our investment process and a significant value driver for our managed funds’ portfolio companies. We are excited to welcome a dedicated operator of Carletta’s caliber to accelerate the great work our teams are already doing as we look to help management teams build better, more sustainable companies and generate exceptional returns for our investors.”

Credit Suisse announced this month that it has hired Jeroen Bos, appointing him to the newly created position of Global Head of Sustainable Investing for Asset Management. In his new role, Bos will manage Credit Suisse Asset Management’s sustainability initiatives while working to strengthen its global sustainable investment offering. “The appointment of a Global Head of Sustainable Investing for Asset Management underscores our commitment to the topic, and reflects the continued, growing importance of sustainability and ESG integration for our clients and for Credit Suisse. We are confident that Jeroen is the ideal candidate to drive forward and accelerate our sustainability efforts in Asset Management.”

Newton Investment Management Limited announced last week the hiring of Therese Niklasson as Global Head of Sustainable Investment. Niklasson will be responsible for driving the company’s strategic plan for responsible and sustainable investment globally. “Therese’s extensive experience and proven track record in building global ESG capabilities and influencing and transforming investment teams’ approach to sustainability issues, will be instrumental in driving Newton’s vision and continued development of our sustainable investment franchise.”

Climate management accounting platform Persefoni announced recently the appointment of Anne Reaney as Co-Founder of Persefoni UK and Head of Sales, EMEA. Persefoni’s SaaS platform enables enterprises and institutional investors to analyze, forecast, and report on their carbon footprint, utilizing AI to provide contextual sustainability performance indicators for their organization. In her new role, Reaney will be responsible for leading Persefoni’s strategic growth, and will help ensure customer success and product development across regions.
