My work has been featured in a number of publications, including Snopes, IFLScience, Business Insider, EcoWatch, Alaska Magazine, Agweek, NBC, Yoga Journal, and Cabin Life. Though I cover everything from space science to medical marvels, my reporting focus lies in marine and environmental issues, climate change, and the intersect of policy and natural resource conflicts. I am a 2019 science communication fellow with the Ocean Exploration Trust aboard the E/V Nautilus and was a 2018 marine science media fellow at Oregon State University. I was a panelist at the 2019 Planet Home Event in San Francisco discussing how science can overcome the many challenges facing our oceans. Recently, I was a guest lecturer at the Knight Institute for Environmental Journalism. I have been featured on GCI's #Think Arctic podcast, as well as Cooking with Archaeologists and the Herspiration podcast on writing.
