Lucy Gallant

Since 2011, Australian powerhouse Lucy Gallant has been touring the world with her band Free Like Me performing for epic crowds at nearly every major festival from Glastonbury to Splendour In The Grass. Gallant is hailed as one of the most talented songwriters and percussionists of our generation; Alongside an ensemble of eclectic musicians, the multicultural band brilliantly merges genres of rock, reggae, Latin, and folk in a seamless and colourful outpouring of medicinal music. Free Like Me has become the reigning pied piper of new paradigm pop, injecting fans with an amplified joy for life and an uncontrollable desire to come together and dance. British born Lucy Gallant's heritage is as eclectic as her music – being part Burmese, Russian, Irish and Australian. Perhaps this mash up of cultural backgrounds is what inspires a blend of different genres in her music which is further enhanced by her thought provoking lyrics; lyrics that can be uplifting whilst also edging towards something darker - and with titles like Murder and Fire Girl amongst the self titled Free Like Me or Lets go to the Beach you can expect the unexpected!
