My primary reporting interests include wildlife biology, environmental science, psychology, and most things related to the brain. I'm a 2019 WHOI Ocean Science Fellow, moderator at the 2019 Good Food Conference on sustainability in cell-based seafood, and a panelist at the Planet Home event on the intersection of science journalism and the challenges facing Earth's oceans. My work has appeared in Science Magazine, Hakai Magazine, Business Insider, Yale News, IFLScience, The International Ocean Film Festival, Bay Crossings Magazine, and The Seattle Weekly, among others.
