Madison is a science writer for IFLScience and contributor to a variety of publications. Most recently, she spent her summer sailing aboard the E/V Nautilus as a science communication fellow exploring the National Marine Sanctuary of American Samoa. Covering a wide variety of topics – from medical marvels to space-bound explorations, and most recently deep sea discoveries – lends to an incredible understanding of some of the world’s most pivotal and relevant science journalism. With BA degrees in Journalism and Communications as well as International Relations, and an MA in Environmental Science and Natural Resource Journalism, Madison has taken her own studies into the field to make leading innovation and research stories accessible to millions of people. Her road to journalism has included opportunities as a legislative correspondent at the US Senate, on-air reporter and news anchor, Rocky Mountain agricultural reporter, and even a commercial fishing deckhand!
