“Solutionism” is a mindset, a philosophy, a better way of living. It is an approach to moving everyone to a growth mindset that leads to a positive planetary change. This is a philosophy that aligns our thinking with our needs and our interests, with net positive solutions to how we LIVE, EAT, MAKE and MOVE with the planet.
The current scale of our social and environmental challenges, climate change, and natural systems degradation is triggering stress or anxiety, and not leading us to be able to find, use and apply the simple solutions in our everyday life. When people experience fear, anxiety, or even uncertainty, they have difficulty showing empathy; they fall back on what they believe to be true and become biased based upon personal perspectives and feelings.
Complex actions and thought processes, including the capacity to reason and make logical decisions, are diminished. Solutionism presents these planetary challenges as simple and easy opportunities, opportunities that will lead every one to be able to take Micro and or Macro Actions that will lead us towards economic growth, systemic change and long-term sustainable impact.
A Planet Home “Solutionist” is a person, focused on creating planetary solutions for how we Eat, Make, Move and Live on our Planet Home, through the use Micro and Macro Actions and donations towards planetary good. A Solutionst knows the basic tools required to create a healthy alliance between humans and our Planet Home.
Take Actions for Planet Home. A Planet Home action is a tactical act that a user can do that will produce a measurable positive impact on the Planet. It is associated with a general planetary solution. The Action might include content about how to do the action, why the action works, how the action works to help the planet, and other associated information. An Action might be raising, donating and/or investing money. It might be taking a job inside a net positive company. It might be applying your skills to support the planetary services sectors, and or simply promoting, marketing and/or selling Planet Home ideas, products and or services, for better living.
