Bethany Perkins

Hi I'm Bethany! I am an environmental science major and public health minor at American University beginning research on BPAs, PAHs, and microplastics in the Anacostia River. I love spending my free time learning new things. I work as a nanny/tutor, volunteer as an EMT, and am a full-time student. I am most interested in clean water, and more specifically access to clean water. I have traveled to places where I became hyperaware of the lack of accessible clean water. I hope to use this platform to bring awareness to environmental issues that are commonly overlooked.
